Outsourcing Blog: $15 billion in outsourcing contracts will be renegotiated in 2010

TPI, an outsourcing advisory firm published a report recently that showed global outsourcing contracts will grow in 2010. TPI reports that as the economy shows signs of improvement, companies are seeking new ways to optimize their business operations. An interest in multi-sourcing along with the interest in cloud computing and a focus on governance and risk management are said to be the reason for a growth in outsourcing contracts in 2010.

The report “TPI Momentum Market Trends & Insights 4Q09 Annual Report" was created by TPI advisors based on market data and "fact-based" observations.

The report also shows that 2010 will be the year of "smaller" and "shorter" projects when compared to the multi-million dollar outsourcing contracts of past years. TPI's analysts found that there will be almost $15 billion worth of contracts which will expire in 2010. TPI predicts that these contracts will be renegotiated and awarded in smaller transactions. TPI's report showed that Europe's outsourcing spend has increased but Asia Pacific continues to show growth in its fifth consecutive year.

From TPI's report, it appears that there's plenty of opportunity for smaller players to begin picking up some of the $15 billion in contracts coming up for renegotiation in 2010.

So it's all good from an outsourcing opportunity perspective and we are here ready and able to help companies achieve their operational optimization needs.
